Plot
A woman confesses before the camera about an appalling sexual experience that she had undergone when she was younger, and various people state their opinions on her dreadful nightmare. Through the documentary-style film, director Jian Lin Pan presents how deep the roots of sexual repression and prejudice against women are even today. It is the result of social, economical, and cultural prejudice combined. He especially questions the double standards against men and women. The people analyze and criticize the shocking experience the woman had when she was only 14. Some express sympathy for her. However, the people’s frank opinions openly reveal the double-sided nature of human beings. ‘endless night’ represents the discrimination and oppression that seems never-ending.
