Synopsis

The first Chinese film focuses on Lao Qiang Shadow puppets, a traditional operatic art form in Shaanxi Province. It unfolds like an epic song about the inheritance of traditional culture. The film tells the story of Shao Han Tian, who is the chief of Lao Qiang Shadow show family, breaks the rule that only the boy is allowed to study Lao Qiang and who has to be the family member with a blood tie, takes his adopted son White Hair as an apprentice to teach him Lao Qiang.
